TOONS
These character pictures started simply as observation. Then as I did more of them, it struck me how these people were uniquely American. As I continue to draw them, I find that I almost cannot distort them beyond an American image already deeply imbedded into our collective imagination. I use them on occasion to populate some parts of my bigger digital pictures. And I like that idea of pictures as modular constructions - an American stew of interchangeable - but singularly American - characters.
