The Archives: 1975 to 2025

“The artist’s job is to be a witness to his time in history.” Robert Rauschenberg

Fifty—50—years have come and gone.

Through five decades of change, I have put my left hand to paper. And as I reflect back, not as a witness to history as Bob would say, but I think more as a witness to my life. My pictures are a chronicle of my more intimate time. The good the bad and the ugly of it all. If you have a mind to, I hope you will enjoy investigating this archive from my Earlier Life - and maybe see something of yourself or your time in history in it.

You can click on the Earlier Life header above or the links here, and they will take you through the paintings I’ve made, the illustrations I’ve put to paper/pixels. It’ll let you listen to some of the songs I’ve written and produced here in the last few years, and some of my musings on the great artists I’ve written about and loved. There’s even a bonus page that may be of interest , where I have written poems and some lyrics for songs.
